Santorum to debate Hillary? Only if he can catch her

Rick Santorum is challenging Hillary Clinton to a debate. Mr Santorum contends that she is ducking him because he is determined to expose her as the liberal she is. It's true that Hillary fervently declines to debate Mr Santorum, and he is quoted saying 'Senator Clinton is doing everything she can to avoid a confrontation that might make her look as liberal as she really is. She's trying to come across as a moderate.' Unfortunately Gary Palmer of the Alabama Policy Institute does not think she will accept the challenge.

Presidential aspirations come at a cost. There are two scenarios here and neither one looks good for the junior Senator Clinton. If she accepts the debate she is sure to be exposed as the person she really is because she'd be forced to answer the questions that imply she's liberal. On the other hand, she cannot get to the presidency without addressing these accusations and coming up with some very good answers. Hillary is not known for doing the latter. Her track record shows more that she'll continue trying to duck the discussion until she's forced to answer. Of course she's also prone to blurt out hateful statements at the cost of her own credibility.

Whatever the case, if she can't avoid the debate, or the questions that lie therein there's a good chance it could damage her substantially for the race in 06 for reelection. This could very well be the reason she refuses to take the topic public. But what about all the others? There are numerous accusations of her ducking issues and refusing to respond to questions asked of her that are directly related to items she has said, or issues she stood for.

Time will tell. Conservatives aren't about to leave her enough slack to escape this noose. It's far too critical in exposing the truth about the person behind the mask of deceit.
