Need A Gamer Legislator?

Jeanette Stevens has recently been nominated to challenge for a seat in the State House of Representatives, in Connecticut.

On Her website it says:

In January I was asked by the State and Town GOP leaders to run for State Representative. I have accepted. Effecting change in Hartford is a great way to serve my community. Be assured I am committed to doing what is best for Madison and North Guilford and not what is best for the advancement of a personal career in politics.

As you well know, our shoreline communities continually struggle to pay for needed services while keeping property taxes in check. This is especially important today during these uncertain economic times.

As your State Representative in Hartford I will advocate for the values, issues and concerns of the 101st District. We need more funds for our schools and for the promotion of open spaces while helping to promote balanced economic development.

I look forward to meeting many of you over the next few months! I am continually reminding my children to “play nice” in the proverbial sandbox - the same is true in the political arena. It is time to end the political divisiveness at the Town and State levels.

What it doesn’t say is that she is apparently an avid WOW player (for those of you who are not in the loop WOW is a game called World of Warcraft)

GP says:

Can the skills which enabled you to reach level 70 in World of Warcraft help make you an effective legislator?

We may find out, as the Connecticut Republican Party has nominated attorney - and WoW player - Jeanne Stevens (left) to challenge for a seat in the State House of Representatives. As reported by the Shore Line Times, the former Manhattan prosecutor enjoys playing WoW

Well that remains to be seen.
