This entire episode by the partisan Dan Rather & CBS company affiliate finally has an appropriate name:

'Kinko Gate'.....

Now the only question that remains, is this the same source where CBS & Danny get all their hot tips from?

And why should anyone take this lot serious ever again?

BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....

CBS Guard Documents Traced to Tex. Kinko's Records Reportedly Faxed From Abilene

By Michael Dobbs Washington Post Staff Writer Thursday, September 16, 2004; Page A06

Documents allegedly written by a deceased officer that raised questions about President Bush's service with the Texas Air National Guard bore markings showing they had been faxed to CBS News from a Kinko's copy shop in Abilene, Tex., according to another former Guard officer who was shown the records by the network.

The markings provide one piece of evidence suggesting a source for the documents, whose authenticity has been hotly disputed since CBS aired them in a '60 Minutes' broadcast Sept. 8. The network has declined to name the person who provided them, saying the source was confidential, or to explain how the documents came to light after more than three decades..........

More to the point, why should anyone care where they were faxed from?

Tell us Unbright, do you really think your rants are based on sound logic?

Rather already admitted the memos were fakes, so watch that 60-min II for further information. And if you were really interested in where these suspect memos came from, you'd be demanding Rather give some general idea in order to maintain some morsel of credibility. Recall that right now, it is his documents that are suspect, and I like many others question their validility because of this upmost eggregious sin in the media business by reporting fraudulent documents....

I've never said they came from Kerry's camp, did I? I have, however, asked if there is such a connection which is not a far fetch inquiry!

Actually unbright, you'll go on whining no matter what. Logic and critical thinking are not one of your accomplishments....

The hypocrisy lie on the left here. You lemming would be screaming bloody murder and you know it. Actually I too would be screaming foul, but that's the difference between the parties. I'll explain later if necessary about Watergate....

And now a reminder (which unbright was compelled to delete) of the link and brief excerpt reporting KINKO GATE:

Actually the circular logic comes from Rather & co. regarding Kinko-Gate.

One can't say that fake memos confirm anything regarding Bush on the basis that such dubious memos coorborate long standing allegations! That's just plain ludicrous....

Nonetheless, this is the argument the left would have us believe, but sorry the best snake oil salesman could sale this lie!

Not to mention, what difference does it make if Dan Rather used dubious documentation? Who cares what a journalist did? What I care about, and what is indisputable, is that during the Vietnam War, when millions of young Americans went to serve in the conflict overseas, George W. Bush used his privileged connections to jump to the head of the line for the Air National Guard. Anybody with the least involvement with the military in the 60's, knew that the Guard at that time, offered a slick way to avoid overseas service, without the inconvenience of burning your draft card, claiming conscientuous objector status, or going to Canada. Does that alone disqualify him to be Commander-in-Chief? Not really. Look who else has had the job. But you have to really wonder about the character of someone who uses family privilege to avoid sharing in the duty and sacrifice of his

I don't know whether Bush got preferential treatment or not. He may very well had. I do know at that time, in some instances, one needed a recommendation for acceptance and the higher the VIP recommendation, the better your chances. I'm sure that wouldn't have been all that difficult for Bush.

Still having said that, everyone agrees the CBS memos are fake and so nothing in them can be believed now. Also, Rather's grand-stand yesterday with the 86-yr old partisan was a dog & pony show for the red-meat crowd. Hell the woman admitted right off she though Bush unfit, plus that she's a devout partisan....
