Recently W addressed the Air National Guard Convention in LV.

It occurred to me that if you turn down the audio, he could just as well have been addressing an AA meeting instead of an ANG meeting: 'I'm George Bush, and I'm an alcoholic'.

I'm thinking this Feisty-But-Not-Really-Penitent-Born-Again-Christian- Sinner facade goes over big in the South, and I'm also thinking that Christians who are considering voting for this man should be wondering how much of this bogus humility is a media creation of the godless and morally-bankrupt Karl Rove, an unelected official who wields an unprecedented amount of power in this administration. Cf. http://www.guardian.co.uk/uselections2004/story/0,13918,1165126,00.html

How Moral is Abu Ghraib. How Honest is a 'Clear Skies Initiative'. How Moral is killing 30,000+ Iraqis, for.....well, no reason at all. How Honest is Trickle-Down Economics. How Moral is turning Afghanistan into the Heroin Capital of the World.

Religious voters are under a mistaken notion that GWBush is a Good Christian.

GWBush is not a Good Christian.

I am curious what christianity or any other religion has to if one has behaved morally or not ? Bringing religion into the fold seems just another way in which to muddy a river that's already murky enough.
How about just pointing how what you consider moral failures and the alternatives that could have been chosen and leave the religion thing out of it? When you bring up the Christian then I, as a reader, have to not only wonder about convictions but also the potential hypocrisy of the author by calling a kettle black.
