As it stands now, six unions formerly associated with the AFL/CIO has said that either Sweeney goes or they do as Sweeney is spending way too much on political agenda's and not enough on increasing union membership.
As it stands this is the 6th Union to join the breakaway group and the breakaway group has threatened to join forces with Republicans unless Sweeney steps down and never runs again.
This is devastating to the Democrats as this would mean that the majority of the Unions have or will side with the Republicans and as such the Democrats income from the Unions would be cut in half or cut by over half, while that money would now either go to the Republicans or be used in other items then political attacks. The breakaway unions would take over half of the members of the AFL/CIO leaving the head union with less then 600,000 members down from 1.3 million members before this breakup.
Is it any wonder why Hillary and the rest are going center of the road instead of being hard left wing like the Moron from Mass, Ted Kennedy? You head in that direction and the only ones that will support you is MoveOn.org and they might not have the money as Soros has cut their funding by over 2/3rds as well as cutting Air America's funding so badly that AA is floundering and sinking fast even in liberal places like New York and Los Angeles and Portland and Seattle and San Francisco and Chicago. In fact in New York according to Arbitron Ratings System (the bible of the radio community) AA is so far down on the charts that they are drawing in less then a 1/4 share. That means less then 20,000 radios are tuned into this station. And it is even worse in Pennsylvania. In Philly the best AA can do is 0.259 shares, that means less then 800 radios are tuned into AA and unless they do better very quick, they are going to lose the radio station as the station is going to change platforms. And all this started with Randi and her idiotic 'murder' joke on Bush. Her name is now mud at AA and is first on the list to be tossed if they have to start letting people go in the future. And unless money starts coming in, they will.
It is not looking good for the Democrats, they are behind by well over 70% in fund raising, they are losing their AA radio stations and the ones that are keeping their heads above water are losing listeners just as fast. XM/Sirus are going to increase the costs to Air America thus placing them in danger of being booted off the platform as they will either have to let stations go to pay for XM and Sirus, or let XM and Sirus go to keep the radio stations. And now the Democrats find out that half of their Union monies will now be gone thus cutting their funding even further.
Seems the people have made their choice. And it is clear that it is not Democrats. Seems to be a bad time to call yourself Democrat/liberal/progressive as the people just ain't buying it. You have the largest minority in the back pocket of the Republicans (Latino) and you have a major amount of the Black community voting for the Republicans (according to Black Entertainment TV/BET, over 23% of blacks voted for the Republicans in the last election, that is almost one quarter! Democrats are NOT liking this at all) and now you have the Unions breaking up and going for Republicans. Add this to the federal requirement that the NEA must STOP adding on to the union dues of it's members just to give this to the Democrats and must now ASK each of it's members if they want to increase their dues for this or if they want to say no....it is just a very bad time for Democrats especially with a little over a year to go to the next elections..Look for them to lose this one also.

Breaking up the AFL/CIO is like breaking up the Teamsters. It's only to devastating to moron republicans and the CIO.
Since the CIO is like any moron Washington Union. It's a union of Sweeney and Jimmy Carter, rather than a workers Union.

Spaz thinks that they are going to morph into Southern trailer park knuckle draggers and vote against their own and their country's best interests. The fact that Spaz is posting again is proof of the need for better testing of straightjackets.
