Don’t you love the way many in the media are trying to spin the London bombings? Instead of focusing on the bloody deconstruction of Bush’s “fight them there so we don’t have to fight them here” strategy, they are using it to promote Bush’s failing agenda.
For an outrageous example, check out today’s /Wall/ /Street/ /Journal,/ where Dan Henninger tries to make the case that what happened in London proves the need for keeping our troops in Iraq, keeping the Patriot Act intact, keeping Guantanamo open, and

If we did that though as you know, the Republicans would be umemployed, they wouldn't have a way to extort money, play hero and pretend to be worth somthing, terror is their business and business is good.

You would think they could cobble together a few quick corporations to handle it. They're always on about privatization. But I guess the demand is not really there...?
We had a joint project with the russians to destroy a shitload of unsecure nerve gas of theirs, but the last I heard, BushCo had undercut the program.
