Stupid, even if all the prison guards did kill themselves no money would be saved. The corrupt-prison-industry would just go hire some other trash to work there. What needs to happen is first: LEGALIZE ALL DRUGS second: Relase everyone who was put in prison on a drug crime ... even for instance a guy who was stealing to support his habit. ... After just those two steps the change in the entire society will cascade across the psyche of all people.... more respect willl be given (and worthy of being given) to police rather than utter contempt that most people now have. After these two steps are done then the entire prison industry will be well on the way to being destroyed. AND THE ANGELS OF HEAVEN WILL BE HEARD CELEBRATING.
A large portion of the money saved can then be spent helping the poor and those with drug addictions because no one wants to be a drug
