Are We Compromising Truth For Business?

At this pre-election time I found it appropriate to really examine what we as Republicans stand for. Recently I’ve come across this post blaming the Bush administration as being anti-science doing everything possible to favor the interests of the business over those of the common good such as join the efforts to slow the process of global warming and many other things. Are the Republicans today the business people that try to fight the teaching of evolution many years after it has become the main scientific theory about life on this planet. Are we the people that fight progress in areas such as stem cell research. The article tends to blame Republican in two serious accusations - one of opportunism as in the willingness to sell the planet and the welfare of other people to promote the possibility to earn more money by the big businesses. The other accusation is that they are dark, promoting old fashioned values at the expense of the truth and the greater good. I don’t know about you but I’m not comfortable in this place. are you
