ABC reports that White House advance team FAKED the applause

by John in DC - 6/28/2005

ABC's Terry Moran just reported that the only time Bush got applause was in the middle of his speech when a White House advance team member started clapping all on their own in order to cajole the soldiers into clapping, which they dutifully did.

So even the applause was fake.

I watched parts of the lame speech during the ads for Jon Stewart Show, and I was amazed at the silent, stony faced reception the 'president' got. What an embarrassment for the Bushies - they go to NC, the reddest part of the state, he speaks in front of men who are paid to serve the CIC and they behave like they can't wait to leave.

There won't be a cite from a TV news broadcast, genius.

Fox News also said the same thing.

Fox News also reported the applause was prompted by WH officials.

If even Faux News admitted the applause was fake, you *know* the speech went over like a lead balloon.

Surely a story of such magnitude would also be reported on the web though.

It was, and the cite was included in the original post.

It's still on the thread if you look above.

They were forced to attend, if they had a choice, they would have been spit shining boots, more rewarding.

That's just a blog saying what they heard on the news, not a mainstream news story. But wait, here is a cite and oh look it's from ABCnews.com:

quit top-posting or middle-posting I guess in this case, learn how to post to usenet.

by the way, can you tell me how exactly applause is faked? Did they pipe in a recording of hands clapping? Was there a super-secret van nearby that made the soldiers hands move with microchip implants within the soldiers muscles?

And you still have not explained why ABC reported this on TV initially, then dropped it like a hot potato when the did their web story. That doesn't seem suspicious to you?
